Northeast Passage’s School Based Recreational Therapy program (TREK – Therapeutic Recreation Empowering Kids™) is designed to work with parents, students, administrators, physical education, special education or classroom teachers, as well as other related service providers, to ensure equal opportunity for students with physical and developmental disabilities. The program’s mission is to facilitate the inclusion of students into the school curriculum (including Phys. Ed.), sports, after school programs, or summer programs. Through the use of adaptive equipment, direct instruction, and a focus on social awareness, students can upgrade their skills to a level where inclusive participation in recreation-based activities is successful. Therapeutic Recreation is defined in the IDEA as a related service.

Options Counseling: ServiceLink provides counseling and decision support, including one-on-one assistance, to individuals and their family members and/or caregivers. The main purpose of Options Counseling and Assistance is to help individuals assess and understand what is important to them and important for them, and to assist them in making informed decisions about appropriate long-term service and support – as well as their Medicare options - in the context of their personal needs, preferences, values and individual circumstances. Options Counseling and Assistance may also include helping individuals develop person centered plans and arranging for the delivery of services and supports.

Comprehensive program that covers the 5 pre-employment transition services hosted at community college campuses and GSIL offices throughout New Hampshire. In small groups (16 students max) students work through an academic curriculum presented as a simulated work environment with soft skills training braided throughout. Students will have the opportunity to earn academic credit through Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs), become more aware of career options, and have work-based learning experiences out in the community to obtain a fuller understanding of employer expectations. There are 3 cohorts offered each year - Fall and Spring sessions (14 weeks), as well as Summer sessions (5 weeks).
