Community Crossroads contracts with a variety of vendors to provide both residential and day services as well as supported employment and other services to adults with disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Family Support Services to school age children are provided through the Family Support Department at Community Crossroads. Supporting families may include recreational opportunities, respite services, ongoing trainings, assistance in accessing environmental modifications or adaptive equipment, information and referral, periodic behavioral consultation & services, attendance at school meetings, assistance with planning for transition from early supports and services to school, and to adult services; and assistance with applying for state and federal benefits.

Children's Service Coordination is a resource to families who have a child with a developmental disability or chronic health condition. Neurobehavioral Residential/Educational Treatment Program at the Zachary Road facility designed for males and females from ages 5 to 21 with pervasive developmental disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological disorders. Services includes: on-site psychiatry, nursing, psychology, education, nutrition, recreation therapy, teaching of independent living skills, vocational training, clinical social work, speech and language and occupational and physical therapy evaluation and services.

David Krempels Brain Injury Center (KBIC) provides classes and support groups within a vibrant community setting, with ample opportunity for peer support and building social connections. We offer instructor-led, classroom-style, experiential, community-based learning and support with over 60 different classes each month. Individuals have the opportunity to develop social skills, increase independence, develop interests, explore various resources, participate in community activities all while creating a social network of support and fostering a sense of accomplishment. Lydia's House of Hope is a 365 day transitional housing program for homeless women and children in crisis. With over 40 in-house programs, we provide the support, advocacy, and foundational life skills needed to live a life of sustainable independence. **This is not a rehab, nor a shelter, it is a long term program dedicated to empowering women with the tools needed for independence and self-reliance to break the generational cycle of homelessness and poverty.

The Navy's Family Readiness programs have been afforded the highest visibility, advocacy, and priority. In practical terms, this has resulted in increased services to family members, increased individual assistance and consultation, more varied educational programs, and a more proactive outreach, and delivery of family support services. The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) is organized into four main functional areas critical to mission success.

We work with individuals age 3-21 that experience a developmental disability and live with a family member. We offer support at education meetings, guide you to community resources, and help with the transition into adult life. Children's In Home Supports - An intensive home based program helping children with complex medical and behavioral needs. Services that are offered are personal care, service coordination, consultative services (including behavioral), respite care, and environmental modifications.

Avenue A is primarily a place for teenagers to gather and spend time together. Available are pool and foos ball tables, ping pong, games, books, magazines, food and a lounge area. Programming for this age population includes open hours on Fridays, karaoke, open mic, tutoring services for adolescents, and college planning services. The facility is also used by outside groups and is available for rent for parties and other special occasions. Groups and class instruction is welcome at Avenue A for a donation. Volunteers are needed to staff open hours and for programming.

Camp Mariposa is a year-round addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use disorder of a family member. Youth ages 9 to 12 who are facing the difficult challenges associated with a family member’s substance have the opportunity to attend free weekend camp sessions offered multiple times throughout the year. Youth can attend sessions every other month for a year or more and participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with educational and support sessions led by mental health professionals. Camp Mariposa builds knowledge, life skills, confidence and provides an opportunity to connect with peers and caring adult mentors. Additional social activities are offered for youth, alumni and their families throughout the year. All Camp Mariposa activities are provided free of charge. Youth who attend Camp Mariposa learn coping skills that build resiliency and ultimately break the inter-generational cycle of addiction. This award-winning program is offered in partnership with youth-focused organizations in communities across the country.
