Mobile health teams bring medical and social work services to places like shelters, soup kitchens and public housing. Services provided at clinics include preventive health screenings; sick visits; and chronic-disease management. The team will also link patients with staff at Families First and Goodwin Community Health who can help with eligibility determination and applications for housing assistance, food stamps, WIC, TANF, disability benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, other health insurance, veterans benefits and more. Clinic staff can also help patients access substance misuse and mental health counseling, family support, specialty care, medications, and labs and diagnostic testing. ** As of September 2024, clinics were offered in Dover, Rochester, Portsmouth and Exeter. Clinic locations are subject to change.

This is a family shelter for Rockingham and Strafford Counties. Other regions are served on a space available basis. We can accomodate a maximum of 5 families or 14 people who can stay for a maximum of 6 months. Our overnight shelter operates from 5:30 pm - 7:30 am and is located seperate from our day center. Our day center operates during daytime hours providing ongoing case management, support services, employment and housing assistance. Please note that we are unable to accept anyone actively using substances, has a severe untreated mental illness or has an active domestic violence issue.

Lydia's House of Hope is a 365 day transitional housing program for homeless women and children in crisis. With over 40 in-house programs, we provide the support, advocacy, and foundational life skills needed to live a life of sustainable independence. **This is not a rehab, nor a shelter, it is a long term program dedicated to empowering women with the tools needed for independence and self-reliance to break the generational cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Animal welfare organization which works to find permanent homes to abandoned or unwanted animals in the Salem area Safe Home Safe Pet program: The Salem Animal Rescue League offers a unique program to qualified families in our community in need of an immediate safe place for their domestic pets in the event of a domestic violence situation or an imminent foreclosure of their home sending them into a public/private shelter. •This is a short-term program is designed to assist qualified individuals who have been displaced from their home and need a place to care for their pets while a permanent solution is worked out. •Many times pets are caught in the confusion of a quick move and if given the opportunity for a safe haven while the family works out their crisis they can resume ownership and continue to care for their pet. •Families must meet certain qualifications to use this program and victims of domestic violence should work through their local service agencies and have them contact us. •Homelessness is a very serious concern to our organization and we are dedicated to reaching out to our community when the need arises.

The EC operates as a centralized service hub open 7 days a week for Manchester residents facing housing instability. They provide essentials like showers, bathrooms, meals, and clothing. On-site local providers assist with substance abuse treatment, mental health support, medical care, housing navigation, and employment services. The objective is to dismantle barriers to housing such as missing vital records, identification, income, and challenging histories related to housing, credit, and criminality. The Homeless Housing and Access Revolving Loan Fund provides guarantees of rental security deposits and/or first month's rent to eligible persons. This is a loan program with a guarantee to the landlord that, in the event of a default, they will be reimbursed the amount of the security deposit. The client will be responsible to make monthly payments towards the security deposit and/or first month's rent to the HHARLF provider and, when the deposit is paid in full the money will be transferred to the landlord.

Family Promise of Greater Concord offers a Diversion/Prevention program aimed at preventing homelessness by providing immediate support and helping families find alternative housing solutions before they need emergency shelter. Here are some key aspects of the program:

Provides bathrooms, shower facilities, food shelf for non-shelter guests during business hours. Service Coordination staff also are available.

Temporary emergency housing for women and families, including battered and abuse victims. -A normal stay does not exceed three months. Some exceptions may apply. -Alcoholic beverages, drugs, and weapons of any kind are not permitted on premises. -The Bancroft House does not provide professional counseling or therapy services, however staff is trained to facilitate referrals to appropriate caregivers. -Residents have access to a laundry room, pantry, kitchen, etc.
