DHHS District Office responsible for public assistance programs such as:
* Temporary assistance for needy families (TANF), also known as the Financial Assistance to Needy Families Program (FANF) provides cash assistance to families with dependent children.
* State Supplement Cash Program (SSP), supports elderly adults and individuals that are physically disabled, mentally disabled, or legally blind. Services are provided for eligible individuals through the following programs:
- Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled (APTD): for individuals who are between the ages of 18 and 64 and who are physically or mentally disabled.
- Aid to the Needy Blind (ANB): is available for individuals of any age who are legally blind.
- Old Age Assistance (OAA): available for individuals age 65 or older.

TRP can be used social outings such as movies, shopping, family gatherings, events, etc. This service is for consumers who do not have access to public transportation, or where public transportation doesn't meet their need. SVR’s focus is on providing transportation for non-emergency purposes and assisting those in greatest need – elderly residents, those living with a disability, and residents who are unable to drive. Other residents may use the service as space is available in the schedule. When scheduling conflicts arise, priority is given to rides needed by Senior Citizens and Persons living with a disability and for non-emergency healthcare related appointments. Rides are available to most locations in the six Souhegan Valley towns and Nashua including healthcare, grocery shopping, social services, senior activity centers and more. Depending on the daily schedule, some rides may or may not be available on a given day. Please call at least two business days in advance to request a ride and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
