OUTREACH PROGRAM | THE BIRCHTREE CENTER

Outreach services include: 1. Behavior Consultation for Families: For individuals ages three and up, Birchtree’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) provide training and guidance to individuals, family members, and caregivers to help increase clients’ well-being and productivity at home, at work, and in their communities. 2. Coaching & Consultation for Adults: For adults with autism and other disabilities, a Birchtree Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) can help adults develop strategies to increase their well-being and productivity at home, at work, and in the community. 3. Behavior Consultation & ABA Therapy Services for Schools & Agencies: Some school districts and agencies partner with Birchtree’s experts to promote students’ educational and behavioral progress. Birchtree’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) provide consultation, assessments, staff training, staff supervision, and program evaluations. This includes autism services as well as services to benefit students with other disabilities, school avoidance, trauma history, and more. To help implement students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), some districts also bring in Birchtree’s Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or Clinical Instructors to provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services in classroom or home settings. 4. Training & Workshops for School & Agency Staff: Birchtree’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other specialists offer professional development workshops and training on topics including autism, behavior reduction, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and more. 5. Community Education & Training: Birchtree teams up with local organizations to offer online and in-person workshops and training. KINSHIP NAVIGATION PROGRAM | THE RIVER CENTER

The Kinship Navigation Program links grandparents, foster and/or adoptive parents, relative caregivers, as well as fictive kin, both inside and outside of the formal child welfare system, to the services and supports specific to their family’s needs. Kinship Navigators provide emotional support, education, and guidance to relative caregivers, and offer information, referral, and follow-up services to promote independence and enhance the well-being of the families they serve.

FAMILY CENTERED EARLY SUPPORTS AND SERVICES | NORTHERN HUMAN SERVICES

Family Centered Early Supports and Services (FCESS) is a Federal and State mandated program that provides developmental therapeutic early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) who have an established medical/genetic condition, 33% developmental delay and/or who are at-risk of developing a substantial developmental delay. Services are typically provided in the home (however can be provided in other natural settings as requested by family) and in a transdisciplinary fashion. A team of early childhood professionals including licensed educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, and other specialized consultants work in conjunction with the eligible child and family to help the child develop skills to his/her full potential as well as provide the family with strategies to directly support and reinforce their child’s development.
