It can take up to four to six weeks to be enrolled and renewal applications are required every three months.

The purpose of AmeriCorps*State is to engage AmeriCorps members in direct service and capacity-building to address unmet community needs. The Welfare department has a food pantry for needy residents of Washington, NH. The food pantry is supported by contributions from the community of Washington, NH. Donations of healthy, nonperishable food items, toiletries, and home cleaning products are accepted.

Every other Tuesday throughout the year, we host a community gift center for the distribution of food and clothing. Anyone from the community is encouraged to schedule an appointment to receive food according to family size and clothing as needed for men, women, and children
