Scouting is organized into age-specific programs to provide developmentally appropriate life-skill lessons and recreation. "Lion Cub" program serves kindergarten boys. "Tiger Cubs" serves boys in grade 1. "Cub Scouts" is for boys in grades 2-5. "Boy Scouts" is for boys age 11-17. "Venturing" is for young men and women, age 14-20. Advancement programs that provide recognition for acquisition of skills and knowledge are part of all Scouting programs. Leadership skill development becomes integral as youth grow with the program.

Residential summer camp program for boys and girls ages 7 to 17

Mayhew challenges and helps at-risk New Hampshire boys to believe in themselves, work well with others, and find their best. It is the only all-boys program in the state that combines school-year mentoring and a residential summer program for at-risk boys, tuition-free, through high school graduation.
