If for any reason you are unable to get out or prepare a meal yourself, our Meals On Wheels volunteers will be happy to bring meals right to you for as long as you require them. We will also provide caregivers with a meal if they wish. Meals are delivered in a special container. You may eat it when it arrives or refrigerate or freeze it for later. As long as funding permits, we send breakfast items and frozen dinners on Fridays

If you or a loved one is dealing with a disability, chronic disease, or recuperating from surgery or illness; then the delivery of a hot tasty meal and a friendly smile could be of help. Companion volunteers regularly visit peers who are socially isolated due to physical or emotional frailties. The primary purpose of their visit is to encourage independence and improve the quality of life of both the frail elder and the senior companion. Provides friendly visitation and transportation to homebound adults. Volunteers also provide respite to family caregivers in need of a break. Volunteers receive an hourly, tax-free stipend and mileage reimbursement for their time and travel. Depending on individual needs, senior companions can share hobbies, encourage exercise, run errands, read or write letters, make community contacts, & provide transportation to medical appointments.
