The Aging Resource Center provides older adults, families, and community members with information, education, and support to help them live healthier and more informed lives.

Home health care.

Medical services provided include but not limited to: IV therapy, wound care, medication management, injections, baby wellness visits, pain management, occupational, physical, speech therapies. Other services provided include but not limited to: personal care, ostomy care, catheter care, respite, bathing, meal prep, caregiver support, and more.

Wide variety of health and wellness related as well as bereavement support groups offered. New parent support group-meet other new parents and discuss topics of concern. Facilitated by the Birth Center Staff

Three levels of care are available. 1. Skilled inpatient nursing home care with rehabilitation services like; physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Stays are short term with the goal of returning home. 2. Intermediate level, this is permanent long term nursing home care. 3. Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Facility is for seniors who can no longer live unassisted. Staff is available 24/7.

This nursing home offer: - Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, - Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing Care for patients after hospitalization, - Skilled Nursing Care, - Inpatient Respite Care, - Inpatient Hospice Care, - Long Term Nursing Home Care. We also provide complex nursing care for: - Pain management - Specialized skin and wound care - Nutritional support and diabetes management - Hospice Care - Hospice or "palliative" care is available if curative or restorative care is no longer appropriate and desired for terminally ill individuals. Hospice care focuses on providing comfort and pain relief as well as pastoral support and counseling for patients and family. Alzheimer's & Dementia Care: People with Alzheimer's or similar type of memory impairment usually benefit from a structured routine and supportive social environment separate from other long-term care residents. Short-Term Respite Care: We provide short-term respite care when an at-home caregiver is temporarily unavailable or in need of extended personal time away. Long-Term Care: Individuals with chronic illness or late-stage Alzheimer's disease are cared for with the goal that they attain their highest functional ability. Individualized care programs provide restorative and rehabilitation services as appropriate to achieve that goal.

Support group for young widows & widowers, support group for people grieving the death of a parent, elder spousal loss group for widows & widowers over the age of 60; Support group for children ages 4 to pre-high school who are grieving and teens who are grieving. Alzheimer's support group is facilitated by a social worker who has worked for many years with Alzheimer's patients and their families.
