Assist with rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping and errands, visits to the home bound. Transportation to Boston, Burlington, MA, Manchester, and Nashua is sometimes available for those needing medical care outside the Greater Salem and Pelham areas.

Friendly Visits: Volunteer visitors are trained to address the special needs of those who are lonely or alone. Visits are usually conducted on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and range from 1-3 hours in length. Telephone Reassurance Calls: volunteers call clients who have expressed a desire to receive daily or weekly reassurance phone calls. CareGivers often has clients call one another for this task, thus helping people form "telephone friendships".

RSVP finds rewarding volunteer opportunities for people age 55+ (primarily). Many, varied opportunities are available, and we will start new projects to suit your needs. Services by volunteers most frequently focus on health and wellness (including osteoporosis prevention, health information distribution, healthcare and senior living agencies, food security and independent living). We also place volunteers in schools to increase literacy for children and adults, and many other areas of community need. RSVP Caregivers provides transportation for medical or basic needs for frail elderly or disabled persons. Volunteers may also choose to provide visitation and companionship, telephone reassurance or assistance with small tasks.

1. RSVP and AmeriCorps Seniors project connects people aged 55+ to volunteer opportunities that are the best fit 2. RSVP CHORE CORPS volunteers donate their services for minor repairs and chores such as yard work and small carpentry jobs (no ladders) as well as errands and shopping for people (no rides.) 3. RSVP BONE BUILDERS exercise classes are offered at community locations in Grafton and Sullivan Counties. 4. RSVP GOOD MORNING volunteers make a telephone reassurance calls to frail elders or those living alone to check up daily and address social isolation.

Volunteers provide friendly visits, light chores, and grocery shopping. Telephone reassurance and SMALL home repairs are also available to existing clients. *Services subject to volunteer availability. **This agency does not help with heater repairs or any large repair services. This program is nonfunded and all services are provided by volunteers.

A daily call-in service provided for seniors and/or shut-ins, is available to residents of Belknap County who live alone. Participants are asked to call the Belknap County Sheriff's Department each morning between 9 and 10 a.m. Participants who do not check in will be checked on.

Project Good Morning helps residents who may not have regular contact with friends, family, and/or neighbors. The project provides a means by which residents can have daily contact with their police department to make sure they are okay.
