This service is free, confidential, and completely voluntary.

The Healthy Families America Program supports pregnant families or those with newborn children. The support team includes nurses and family support specialists who provide services to ensure good prenatal care, successful birth outcomes, positive early parent child relationships and optimal early childhood development. Services are provided in the comfort of the family home or in the community. Families participate by choice, at no cost to them.

The Family Center offers the very best in pediatric care for newborns and pediatric inpatients through a clinical collaboration with MassGeneral for Children, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric services. Pediatricians from MassGeneral for Children are available 24/7 at Exeter Hospital, and assess all of our newborn babies.

Home visiting programs help parents provide safe and supportive environments for their children. Support can include but is not limited to breastfeeding support, prenatal education, child development, and parent education.

We provide a wide range of skilled and loving care to ensure that you and your child receive the care and support you need. Our team of specialist nurses is available to assist with care coordination and skilled assessments for a wide range of patients including prenatal and postpartum women, infants and newborns. Services Include: -Maternal visits (pre and post-partum) -New mom and baby visits -Premature infant follow up visits -Pediatric assessments and skilled nursing visits -Skilled assessment and management of complex medical care in the home -Pediatric rehabilitation services -Social service referral -Assessment of home safety, needs, and capabilities -Coordination and referral to specialized community resources -Assessment and referral for social welfare needs and psychological dysfunction -Family and caregiver education
