Provides court advocacy, support and court accompaniment for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking who are applying for restraining/protective orders, or who are witness or defendants in criminal cases. Advocates provide emotional support and information for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and stalking through our 24-hour support line. An advocate is also available in person at the office. Advocates can meet survivors at the hospital, police department, or court as well.

Harbor Care is uniquely designed to support your recovery journey-with or without insurance. No one is turned away, regardless of ability to pay. A full range of quality residential and outpatient services are offered so that we can accompany clients on their journeys from the first time they consider treatment to long-term recovery. We offer: outpatient treatment, including our High Intensity Outpatient Program (PHP and IOP); treatment for pregnant and parenting women and their children at the Cynthia Day Family Center; Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and/or alcohol dependence; long-term recovery support counseling and groups statewide with our Peer Recovery Support Services; and services for the Rockingham County Drug Court. We're dedicated to partnering with schools to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of its staff, student body and their families. We work on-site and through telehealth, side-by-side with school social workers, nurses, teachers and administrators to being health care and supportive services not just to the students who need it most, but also students' families and school faculty. We're with our community all of the way! We help youth and their loved ones access specialty care providers and social services, often working with our school nurse partners. We also connect families with systems and ensure long-term supports are in place for students with behavioral health issues. With specialized treatment that may include child care and transportation for parents in need of behavioral health care, we take a holistic, whole-family approach to ensuring health and wellness.

GRIEVING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (GAP) | VICTIMS, INC.

Victims, Inc. sponsors GAP, a support group for people needing to share their grief with others who have suffered similar losses. GAP provides a safe arena for people to openly share feelings of pain, anger, despair, helplessness, guilt, etc. Members include parents who have lost children, widows, widowers, adults who have lost parents, relatives, and friends. The death may have been sudden or anticipated. Victims, Inc. Trauma Intervention Volunteers respond to pages from police, fire and emergency medical personnel to scenes, homes and hospitals. They assist victims of serious and fatal crashes, suicides, non-relationship assaults, drownings, missing persons, unattended and untimely deaths.

VICTIM ASSISTANCE FOR IDENTITY COMPROMISE AND MISUSE, SCAMS, AND FRAUD | IDENTITY THEFT RESOURCE CENTER

The ITRC provides free help to anyone who wants to identify if they are a victim of identity theft, protect their personal information and/or prevent themselves from becoming a victim of an identity crime, or recover from identity misuse. The ITRC’s Victim Advisors will walk all victims through what steps they need to take and are happy to serve as a resource for as long as they are needed. The ITRC does not collect sensitive personal information, only basic contact information and demographic information, if the individual is willing to share. Individuals may want to know how to protect their information if their purse/wallet/phone/tablet/ laptop/documents were stolen or if they were a victim of a data breach. The ITRC can help if a US-based account was opened in an individual’s name, or one of their accounts has been taken over. Accounts include but are not limited to social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), government accounts (IRS, SSA, etc.), financial accounts (bank, credit card, etc.), and utility accounts (cable, electricity, phone, etc.)

MUTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS | NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN

When a child is the victim of sexual exploitation it is difficult for the whole family. NCMEC is here to help with the recovery process. Masters-level trained advocates offer crisis intervention to families as well as resources and suggestions to help them rebuild and reconnect. NCMEC’s peer support network, Team HOPE, can provide support, empowerment, and resources to families of missing or exploited children from people who have experienced a similar trauma.
