For teens ages 14-18, AIR Artists empowers teens to develop authentic voices and self-expression in a safe, nonjudgmental community. AIR Artists focus on creativity and skill-building through visual, performing, and literary arts alongside compassionate professional teaching artists and staff. No previous experience is required.

1. Provides life-saving, life-affirming programs and services to LGBTQ youth that create safe, accepting and inclusive environments over the phone, online and through text. 2. It has a national 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention lifeline for LGBTQ young people. 3. It has a 24/7 online resource center with topics like: HIV/AIDS, mental health, homelessness, self injury, preventing suicide, and more.

Offered after school and during school vacations for 11-13-year-olds, this program introduces new types of art in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. Co-led by AIR staff and a professional teaching artist, programs balance high-quality arts instruction with creative self-expression and community-building. All skill and experience levels are welcome.

Peer support group for LGBTQ+ young adults and allies ages 18-24.

Support groups for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (glbtq) youth and youth allies. We provide weekly adult-facilitated, confidential support group meetings, as well as support groups for parents of LGBTQ+ youth. Often have art activities, movie nights, board games, etc. Meets at Community Campus, 100 Campus Drive, Portsmouth.
