Harbor Care is uniquely designed to support your recovery journey-with or without insurance. No one is turned away, regardless of ability to pay. A full range of quality residential and outpatient services are offered so that we can accompany clients on their journeys from the first time they consider treatment to long-term recovery. We offer: outpatient treatment, including our High Intensity Outpatient Program (PHP and IOP); treatment for pregnant and parenting women and their children at the Cynthia Day Family Center; Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and/or alcohol dependence; long-term recovery support counseling and groups statewide with our Peer Recovery Support Services; and services for the Rockingham County Drug Court. We're dedicated to partnering with schools to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of its staff, student body and their families. We work on-site and through telehealth, side-by-side with school social workers, nurses, teachers and administrators to being health care and supportive services not just to the students who need it most, but also students' families and school faculty. We're with our community all of the way! We help youth and their loved ones access specialty care providers and social services, often working with our school nurse partners. We also connect families with systems and ensure long-term supports are in place for students with behavioral health issues. With specialized treatment that may include child care and transportation for parents in need of behavioral health care, we take a holistic, whole-family approach to ensuring health and wellness.

Lydia's House of Hope is a 365 day transitional housing program for homeless women and children in crisis. With over 40 in-house programs, we provide the support, advocacy, and foundational life skills needed to live a life of sustainable independence. **This is not a rehab, nor a shelter, it is a long term program dedicated to empowering women with the tools needed for independence and self-reliance to break the generational cycle of homelessness and poverty.

The Well Child program offers: developmental assessments, health education, parenting education, assistance with applications.

~Interpersonal Violence Prevention Programs for grades preK-college, including: Conflict Resolution, Bullying and Teasing, Healthy Relationships, Media Literacy, Dating/Sexual Violence Primary Prevention, Domestic/Sexual Violence 101. Please call program details including grade levels. ~Girls Circle and Retreats for teen/preteen girls: fosters girls' self-esteem and self-reliance while exploring topics such diversity, body image, and healthy relationships and friendships. ~Professional training: on topics of domestic/dating violence, sexual violence and stalking provided for law enforcement, medical, education professionals, substance abuse professionals, etc. "Domestic Violence in the Workplace" presentation available for all workplaces. ~Education/Outreach and Awareness programs for social services and systems, workplaces, faith communities, civic organizations, parent or community groups, etc including: Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, Stalking, Teen Dating Violence, and Domestic Violence and Children. ~Additional educational programs for those who have been affected by Domestic/Sexual and Stalking Violence, inlcuding: Dynamics of Domestic Violence, Pattern Changing, Economic Empowerment, Healthy Relationships, etc. ~Volunteer Opportunities: 24-hour support and advocacy; Board of Directors; office support; Youth Advisory Board for teens. All training provided free-of-charge.

This peer support agency offers a variety of different support groups. Support groups focus range from Bipolar, Depression, Domestic Violence, Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender, General Addictions/Dependencies, Suicide Survivors, etc. Some groups are for women. All groups are free.

Well-woman annual exams, pelvic exams, breast exams and instruction in self breast exam, referral for mammography, pap tests, etc. Addtional tests for anemia, STIs (sexually transmitted infections), cholesterol screening, etc. are done as requested or required.

Outpatient Program and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for women who experience substance use and a history of trauma and/or mental health issues. The program includes: case management, group treatment; and individual counseling. Program length averages 16 weeks. Childcare provided as needed. Transportation provided if needed within the city of Manchester. *****This program is open to community members as well as to Families in Transition residents.******

Pregnancy support services including pregnancy testing, ultrasound, low cost STI Testing & Treatment, peer support, post-abortion support. Also offers sexual integrity education and support

Mary’s House, located on West Pearl Street, is a non-treatment, Section 8 rent-assisted apartment building with 40 subsidized single-room occupancy apartments. It provides permanent supportive housing for single, homeless women without children, ages 18 and over who are in need of a safe and supportive living environment.

The Mary Gale Fund supports low income women, age 65 or older, living in the Greater Manchester area to maintain their independence and/or safety while living in their own home/apartment. We have helped pay for short term services/items generally not covered by any other source such as medication, food, in-home assistance, clothing, and minor appliances.
