Kinship navigators provide resource navigation, emotional support, education, and guidance, and offer information, referral, and follow-up services to promote independence and enhance the well-being of the families they serve. Navigators can help with matters of healthcare, education, childcare, financial assistance, and legal questions about protecting your rights and the child’s well-being.

The Parenting Plus Program provides emotional support, encouragement, empowerment and practical solutions in managing family life. Comprehensive family support services include parenting skills, healthy communication, resolving conflicts, time management or organizational skills, nutrition, safety, resourcefulness and are provided in the comfort of the family home or in the community. Families participate by choice, at no cost to them.

A caregiver support group is now available the last Thursday of each month from 5pm to 7pm. The support group meets at the ServiceLink of Strafford County office. That means that they work with a variety of payment options whether the recipient plans to pay for services privately, qualifies for Medicaid and participates in Choices for Independence waiver (HCBC), has long term care insurance or has a grant.
