K9s For Warriors provides ADI accredited service dogs to post 9/11 (on or after September 11th, 2001) military veterans with a clinical diagnosis of service-related PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Military Sexual Trauma. Upon their acceptance/waiting period, travel to our residential training facility in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The Warriors then spend the next 21 days training with their new service dog that we've provided for them, both on & off site. Room, board & food are completely covered. K9s For Warriors does not train preexisting owned pets. Our dogs must meet very strict breed, height, weight, health & trainability criteria. Hand selected dogs that have previously trained for an indefinite period of time before ever meeting their Warriors.
