Through this workshop, child care providers, teachers, and parents are given the tools and knowledge needed to help children with asthma breathe easier and stay healthy. Participants learn the basics of asthma, how to detect warning signs and symptoms, how to recognize common triggers and to avoid them, tips on preventing an asthma episode, what to do when an episode has begun, and common medications used with asthma.
