MATERIAL GOODS | MAKEOVER MINISTRY

Organization that collects and distributes donations of the following items. Availability of items depends on what has been donated and can change often. CLOTHING: new or clean, gently used clothing of all sizes needed – baby, toddler, kids, teens and adult, shoes, coats and boots HOUSEHOLD ITEMS: small kitchen appliances, microwave ovens, electronic equipment, TV’s and vacuum cleaners in good working order. Pots & pans, dishes, glasses and silverware, bake ware, new toiletries, new paper products, school supplies, holiday decorations, bicycles, toys with all the pieces in good working order BABY EQUIPMENT: strollers, car seats, toys, etc.

Baby furniture, baby supplies; baby clothing up to size 2T and maternity clothing available. Furniture and clothing in good or new condition will be accepted. Call ahead for all donated furniture items with make and model so they may be checked against the government recall list prior to drop off.

OUTFITTERS | FAMILIES IN TRANSITION

Thrift shop with clothing, furniture, and household items. All proceeds go back into supporting Families in Transition programs. *Vouchers from other human services agencies (i.e. city welfare, St. Vincent de Paul) are accepted for clothing. Outfitters will only issue store vouchers for clients of Families in Transition.

We offer a small clothing ministry that provides a limited amount of clothing and personal care items. Because we have limited space in our office, this ministry is relatively small. Donations are accepted, items that are not appropriate for our clientele, or if we have a surplus, are passed to the Marion Gerrish Thrift Store in Derry.

The Coat Rack has donated gently used and new warm winter clothing in all sizes for men, women and children. There is also a stock of knitted hats, mittens, scarves, & sweaters that have been knitted over the summer months. Donations accepted: Donations of new and gently used house wares (dishware, pots, pans, utensils, small appliances), domestics (blankets, linens, curtains), and clothing (infant, children, women and men). ****2. Donations NOT accepted: OutFITters can NOT accept the following, due to cost and liability: Infant furniture, car seats, strollers, stuffed animals, toys, sofa beds, mattresses/box springs, large metal desks, large furniture, large appliances, microwaves, console stereos, or TV's older than 7 years (no console TV's), broken, stained, wet, torn, or foul-smelling donations of any kind. 3. If you prefer to donate directly to Families in Transition, please consider coordinating a drive for new items that would go directly to participants, such as diapers and wipes, toiletries, paper products, and laundry items.
