Avenue A is primarily a place for teenagers to gather and spend time together. Available are pool and foos ball tables, ping pong, games, books, magazines, food and a lounge area. Programming for this age population includes open hours on Fridays, karaoke, open mic, tutoring services for adolescents, and college planning services. The facility is also used by outside groups and is available for rent for parties and other special occasions. Groups and class instruction is welcome at Avenue A for a donation. Volunteers are needed to staff open hours and for programming.

Nashua PAL provides free after school programming at the PAL Youth Safe Haven located at 52 Ash Street. The Center offers homework help, mentoring, various enrichment programs, and recreational activities. Nashua PAL also offers Juvenile Court Diversion along with a host of sports programs for youth, including football, cheerleading, basketball, street hockey, cross country, track and field, and boxing (adult and youth for boxing only).

The mission of YYOUTH Matter is to increase resiliency in our communities’ youth and their families through social-emotional support, academic development and healthy living initiatives, equipping them to achieve their greatest potential.

A safe and welcoming place where adults with special needs, their families and caregivers, and caring members of the Upper Valley community can come together and take part in fun and educational activities. Programs for adults with disabilities include: arts, cooking, crafts, employment skills, gardening, health and fitness, life skills, music, science, and outings. Free support group for families and caregivers.

Provides bathrooms, shower facilities, food shelf for non-shelter guests during business hours. Service Coordination staff also are available.

SHINE is a free inclusive program that enables teens to: Access comprehensive sexuality education, Learn about their bodies and how they work, Know that they have the power to keep their body and other people's bodies healthy, Practice the skills they need to engage in healthy relationships throughout their lives, Access honest and medically accurate answers to their questions. Youth Activities TLC offers a variety of activities and opportunities for youth to engage in throughout the year. These activities are a way for youth to engage and interact in a safe and supportive environment.

The Derry Friendship Center offers peer support, drop in center, and meetings based on twelve-step recovery to individuals' & families dealing with alcohol and substance use disorder.

The Drop-In Center is open year round, with extended opportunities on early release Wednesdays, school vacation weeks, days off from school and during the summer break. Activities include trips & excursions, art & music appreciation, academic enrichment, leadership development, mentoring, prevention and recreational programming. PYW provides daily meals and snacks, along with access to a fully stocked food pantry which is accessible daily and by special request for parents and guardians of school aged children in town.

The Granite YMCA offers a wide variety of programs that are designed to help empower youth to reach their full potential, improve the health and well-being of those in our communities, as well as inspire others to give back. Between all of our enrichments such as swim lessons and youth sports, to our wellness offerings including group exercise and swimming, there really is something for everyone at the Y! Our enrichments run throughout the year as “sessions” that are typically 6-7 weeks long with interim weeks in between. The Twelve on Union provides showers to those in need Monday - Friday.

Because of The Granite YMCA, more young people in communities across New Hampshire are taking a greater interest in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
