Harbor Care is uniquely designed to support your recovery journey-with or without insurance. No one is turned away, regardless of ability to pay. A full range of quality residential and outpatient services are offered so that we can accompany clients on their journeys from the first time they consider treatment to long-term recovery. We offer: outpatient treatment, including our High Intensity Outpatient Program (PHP and IOP); treatment for pregnant and parenting women and their children at the Cynthia Day Family Center; Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and/or alcohol dependence; long-term recovery support counseling and groups statewide with our Peer Recovery Support Services; and services for the Rockingham County Drug Court. We're dedicated to partnering with schools to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of its staff, student body and their families. We work on-site and through telehealth, side-by-side with school social workers, nurses, teachers and administrators to being health care and supportive services not just to the students who need it most, but also students' families and school faculty. We're with our community all of the way! We help youth and their loved ones access specialty care providers and social services, often working with our school nurse partners. We also connect families with systems and ensure long-term supports are in place for students with behavioral health issues. With specialized treatment that may include child care and transportation for parents in need of behavioral health care, we take a holistic, whole-family approach to ensuring health and wellness.

Memorial Hospital offers behavioral health services with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and licensed clinical social worker, both of whom are embedded in the Primary Care Practice. When health care providers are able to recognize and treat all the consequences of illness, including depression, a person’s ability to manage their disease is greatly improved. One of the best places to evaluate the mental health of someone dealing with a life-altering diagnosis is in the primary care setting. Recognized as a best practice of medicine, this approach helps people adjust to a chronic disease, adapt to necessary lifestyle changes, and engage in ongoing prevention. Substance Use Disorder Treatment services include the evidenced-base practice of Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders (ITCOD), and an outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment program (Suboxone). Services are available to adults living in our catchment area. Services are provided by licensed clinicians whose backgrounds are in the areas of both addiction services and mental health services and our Board certified psychiatrists.

Integrated Medication Assisted Treatment is the use of medications in with counseling and behavioral therapies , to provide a whole patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorder”- US Dept of Health and Human Services’ Center for Substance Abuse Treatment” Currently medications used to treat Opioid Abuse Disorder are buprenorphine/naloxone ( Suboxone), Naltrexone and Methadone. Naloxone is used to revive patients who have over-dosed. We are not prescribing methaode for opioid abuse disorder. Patient acuity ranges from opioid dependent to heavily addicted. Levels of service and appropriate sites of care vary based upon the patient’s acuity and circumstances. Our clinical philosophy is to facilitate the individual’s return to the highest level of physiological, psychological and societal functioning. The program takes a holistic , evidence-based approach. It includes a formal treatment agreement; individualized treatment plan; opioid replacement therapy; toxicology screening; prescription monitoring; patient and family education; social supports; as well as behavioral , copgnitive and other interventions.

NH Detox provides inpatient substance use treatment including ASAM level 3.7 detox services and ASAM level 3.5 residential treatment.
