Our Child, Adolescent and Family Services department provides individual, family and group mental health services for those ages 0-25. We also offer a substance use disorder program that is based on a specially developed program that has been successful for persons ages 12-25. We are also providing services within the schools, as part of our Mental Health in the Schools program, and have added Mental Health in the Camps services at various local Summer camps during the season. Riverbend’s Children’s Services clinicians provides comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to help young people and their families identify and resolve issues that keep them from success. Counseling is available for a wide variety of issues like anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, divorce, blended families, school and/or learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, grief, trauma, abuse, addiction, chronic illness, suicidal thoughts, etc. Services are available at our offices in Concord and Franklin, at schools, in clients’ homes, and at other community locations.

Community Mental Health Center provides services to assist people with managing the symptoms and impairments resulting from mental illnesses. These include case management, therapy, functional supports, nursing and psychiatric services. The program also utilizes a number of nationally recognized evidenced based practices, including Illness Management and Recovery and Supported Employment.

Learning and Attention Disorder Services are provided to children and their families who are coping with learning, attention, or behavior problems in the home, at school, or at the workplace. In addition, consultation and training services for schools and other agencies as needed is also provided. Current services include: •Psychological Evaluations •Psychotherapeutic Services •Parent Training •Consultation and Training Services for schools and agencies •Development of Positive Behavior Support Plans Child, Adolescent, and Family Services also provides distinct services for children with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum and their families. Staff work with children in developing emotional regulation skills, social skills and coping skills as well as with functional communication and other augmentative and alternative communication strategies. When working with the families, staff help them develop the skills to manage symptoms both in the home and community settings. Staff provide support to parents and caregivers to assist their children in developing skills to increase independence and improve their overall functioning in all aspects of life.

Lakes Region Mental Health Center provides a wide range of behavioral health services to children, adolescents, young adults and their families. In some cases, it is important to include families in the treatment plan whenever possible. The Robert B. Jolicoeur Schools serve students 8-21 with both general and special educational needs. The highly advantageous faculty to student ratio insures exceptional instruction and includes all related services.
