Senior Luncheons: eat a healthy meal, get out of the house, be with your friends and peers, take part in other activities, or volunteer.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained to advocate for children in abuse/neglect cases. They are assigned by District/Family court judges. CASA does not investigate child abuse/neglect, and does not serve as the guardian ad litem in custody cases.

Volunteers provide the services to older adults and seniors who are permanently or temporarily homebound.

Seeds of faith is a food pantry dedicated to feeding the needy.

Local affiliates of national organization build homes with volunteer labor and donated materials, then sell the homes for no profit and with no interest mortgages to low-income families. Those families must help with the construction of their homes. Each local affiliate is responsible for its own program.

Ascentria provides basic services and help to refugees and immigrants. Some examples of help provided include: legal assistance, job training, employment services, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Meals on Wheels are provided by volunteers each weekday to homebound seniors. No meals are delivered on major holidays or announced "snow days," so volunteers bring an extra frozen meal to use when fresh meals are not delivered. Anyone with health concerns that require a special diet should let the program know, so their needs can be accommodated. All meals are prepared with no added salt.

Volunteer opportunities include: Administrative assistance, Child care Assistants, Youth Mentors, Parent Support Internships, Juvenile Diversion Program Internship, Community Service Learning Internship, Marketing and Public Relations Internship.

If for any reason you are unable to get out or prepare a meal yourself, our Meals On Wheels volunteers will be happy to bring meals right to you for as long as you require them. We will also provide caregivers with a meal if they wish. As long as funding permits, we send breakfast items and frozen dinners on Fridays

Freshly prepared healthy meal is delivered each weekday by our friendly and trusted deliverer. Includes safety focus checks, where trained staff is familiar with the needs and the living environment of each participant.

Volunteers are always needed to help at the organizational level for administration, organization, strategic planning, marketing, yard sales and financial development at the board level or on committees. When we have an active home build, we need volunteer and professional help with Habitat for Humanity houses. Jobs for all skill levels are available, no one will be turned away!

Through a unique partnership with diverse faith communities and secular community resources, Family Promise provides transitional housing, meals and supportive services to sustain a community-wide effort of compassion for homeless families.

Nashua PAL provides free after school programming at the PAL Youth Safe Haven located at 52 Ash Street. The Center offers homework help, mentoring, various enrichment programs, and recreational activities. Nashua PAL also offers Juvenile Court Diversion along with a host of sports programs for youth, including football, cheerleading, basketball, street hockey, cross country, track and field, and boxing (adult and youth for boxing only).

REACH Crisis Services provides free and confidential support and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and trafficking, in the Greater Manchester community.

1. Receive and place unwanted animals, cruelty investigations, humane education programs, lost and found animals, provides resources on issues pertaining to animals and assistance to members of the public in need of pet food, spay/neuter for cats, temporary pet housing, training. 2. ASPCA offers a Pet Loss Hotline. Pet parents can receive help from the ASPCA Pet Loss Support program with the following issues: *Assistance with the decision to euthanize. *Comfort and support at the time of euthanasia. *Help with grieving the loss. *Advice on dealing with children, the elderly or disabled individuals who are facing a death of a companion animal. *Helping the surviving animals in the household to cope. *Assistance in establishing a relationship with a new pet.

The Family Center offers parenting classes and groups; playgroups and family programs; individualized support for families under stress; and kinship navigation for relative caregivers. Free child care is offered during some parenting classes (advance signup needed). **Programs are offered at Families First in Portsmouth and at community locations in Somersworth, Exeter and Epping, as well as online.

Volunteers are needed on a continuous basis to help in our thrift store by sorting donations, greeting customers, working the cash register, visual merchandising, and more. If you or a loved one is dealing with a disability, chronic disease, or recuperating from surgery or illness; then the delivery of a hot tasty meal and a friendly smile could be of help. During meal delivery, we provide daily safety check.
