Anyone age 60 and older is invited to join us at one of our many dining centers throughout Hillsborough County. In addition to tasty nutritious lunches, opportunities to participate in activities related to nutrition, recreation, health and welfare, and social services are easily accessible at nutrition site locations.
Volunteers provide assistance and transportation to physician, dentist, podiatry and therapy appointments among others. Beyond the actual transportation, our trained volunteers wait with the care-receivers during their appointments, offering friendship and support.

Each day, older adults gather at the center to meet new and old friends, enjoy entertaining programs, participate in exercise and craft classes, partake in lively discussion groups on social and political issues and use their skills to help others as volunteers. In addition to these important social programs, the center also provides older adults with nutritional lunches, health education and screenings and transportation to shopping and medical appointments.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained to advocate for children in abuse/neglect cases. They are assigned by District/Family court judges. CASA does not investigate child abuse/neglect, and does not serve as the guardian ad litem in custody cases.

Meals on Wheels is the delivery of ready-to-eat meals to your home around the lunch hours. Meals are delivered on week days. If you or a loved one is dealing with a disability, chronic disease, or recuperating from surgery or illness; then the delivery of a hot tasty meal and a friendly smile could be of help. During meal delivery, we provide daily safety check.

Nashua PAL provides free after school programming at the PAL Youth Safe Haven located at 52 Ash Street. The Center offers homework help, mentoring, various enrichment programs, and recreational activities. Nashua PAL also offers Juvenile Court Diversion along with a host of sports programs for youth, including football, cheerleading, basketball, street hockey, cross country, track and field, and boxing (adult and youth for boxing only).

Meals on Wheels are provided by volunteers each weekday to homebound seniors. No meals are delivered on major holidays or announced "snow days," so volunteers bring an extra frozen meal to use when fresh meals are not delivered. Anyone with health concerns that require a special diet should let the program know, so their needs can be accommodated. All meals are prepared with no added salt.

The holiday season at Friends of Forgotten Children starts in the fall, with distribution of the Annual Thanksgiving Baskets donated from local groups and organizations. Each basket is filled with food items for an entire Thanksgiving meal and are given to clients who sign up at our facility. Friends of Forgotten Children also collects and distributes Christmas gifts for children and teens through out Merrimack county. We also have a annual Easter egg hunt. a Spring Fling for seniors

Our Volunteer Program is designed to give those interested in supporting our recovery programs. Volunteers are given the opportunity to help with daily operations, greeting people at the door, providing telephone recovery support to participants, start a new group or facilitate an existing one, and contributing to our community events.
