Food Pantry in Bedford, NH for residents who are facing hunger. Donations of food and money are welcome. Volunteers to help out at the food pantry are welcome.

Our Volunteer Program is designed to give those interested in supporting our recovery programs. Volunteers are given the opportunity to help with daily operations, greeting people at the door, providing telephone recovery support to participants, start a new group or facilitate an existing one, and contributing to our community events.

Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals, a daily safety check and friendly interaction to homebound seniors in Coos County who are unable to shop or cook for themselves, helping them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible.

Pantry Market always has fresh foods including: milk, whole grain bread, eggs, meats, dry goods, fresh fruits and vegetables. We also have personal care items including toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, oral care, and pet food. Members may shop our Pantry Market once per calendar month.

Cleaning for a Reason provides free housecleaning services to any woman, man, or child in active cancer treatment. Cleaning for a Reason partners with maid services, including some maid services in NH. To apply for services go to cleaningforareason.org, Patients tab. This is not a guaranteed service. Program is zip code and capacity based.

Anyone age 60 and older is invited to join us at one of our many dining centers throughout Hillsborough County. In addition to tasty nutritious lunches, opportunities to participate in activities related to nutrition, recreation, health and welfare, and social services are easily accessible at nutrition site locations.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained to advocate for children in abuse/neglect cases. They are assigned by District/Family court judges. CASA does not investigate child abuse/neglect, and does not serve as the guardian ad litem in custody cases.

Care packages are created for active troops and for homeless and at-risk veterans and contain a varitey of basic need items. Holiday stockings for the VASH program children are held in December.

Local affiliates of national organization build homes with volunteer labor and donated materials, then sell the homes for no profit and with no interest mortgages to low-income families. Those families must help with the construction of their homes. Each local affiliate is responsible for its own program.

Recruits and trains volunteers, providing a range of volunteer opportunities

The Friendly Kitchen provides meals twice a week at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Locust Street in Dover on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This food ministry is coordinated by Dover Cooperative Ministries (DCM). Volunteers are needed for food prep, serving, clean up and more. Please call if interested.

IINE is looking for volunteers for a variety of different tasks. Some include: assisting english teachers, helping clients learn and speak english, work with a fmaily who needs extra support, drive clients to appointments, escort clients around Manchester and help with resumes and job searches.
