Volunteers are always needed to help at the organizational level for administration, organization, strategic planning, marketing and financial development at the board level or on committees. When we have an active home build we need volunteer and professional help with Habitat for Humanity houses. We also perform small repair projects typically on weekends as requests come in. Jobs for all skill levels are available, no one will be turned away!

Volunteers ready to help others flourish in the Kearsarge Region. Assistance may include pick up and deliver groceries/prescriptions/mail, make and deliver meals, light yard work or snow removal, emergency firewood delivery, small outdoor repairs, friendly check in by phone, budgeting, connect to local resources for benefits, help find housing, food security.

Volunteers Monitor a little free pantry, check periodically to restock books (united way has a supply of books you can use) also monitor the condition of the pantry and report need for repairs, etc.

You can help transport pets for veterinary care. You can speak at libraries, schools, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. You can help with phone calls and mailings. You can help with fundraising events, or even organize one. You can volunteer at an adoption event. You can help collect coin banks once a month at 3-4 places in the area. You can make a secure monetary donation which will help with vet fees, medicines, food and supplies. Plus so much more!

Volunteers provide urgently needed basic home repairs, which restore basic functioning of the home. Repairs NOT provided include: plumbing, electrical work, furnace installation,work needing heavy equipment, etc.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained to advocate for children in abuse/neglect cases. They are assigned by District/Family court judges. CASA does not investigate child abuse/neglect, and does not serve as the guardian ad litem in custody cases.

Monadnock RSVP Volunteer Center provides individualized volunteer management services to individuals and groups seeking service opportunities. We recruit, screen, train and place volunteers at non-profit and public organizations to deliver direct services, expand or start new programs, and build organizational capacity. RSVP staff provides on-going support, consults, trains and serves as a resource for agency coordinators on best practices on developing a volunteer program and volunteer management. Monadnock RSVP administers a national literacy program, America Reads, in 17 elementary schools and six Head Start/early learning programs to help children become proficient readers by the end of third grade. Under the guidance of a teacher or reading specialist, volunteers are matched with students one-to-one or in small groups to provide literacy support weekly throughout the school year. RSVP’s Neighbors-In-Deed program provides person-centered independent living services to low-income seniors, veterans and military family members who may be lonely, isolated, or living with a disability so they can remain living in their homes as long as possible and maintain their dignity and quality of life. Volunteers are matched one-to-one to provide ongoing companionship and non-medical assistance with daily activities such as: friendly visiting/companionship, handyman repairs, respite care, transportation and supported assistance and rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, pharmacy and other basic human needs.

The North Country Chamber of Commerce promotes it's business members, area attractions, local events, and activities.

Through a unique partnership with diverse faith communities and secular community resources, Family Promise provides transitional housing, meals and supportive services to sustain a community-wide effort of compassion for homeless families.
