Victims, Inc. sponsors GAP, a support group for people needing to share their grief with others who have suffered similar losses. GAP provides a safe arena for people to openly share feelings of pain, anger, despair, helplessness, guilt, etc. Members include parents who have lost children, widows, widowers, adults who have lost parents, relatives, and friends. The death may have been sudden or anticipated. Victims, Inc. Trauma Intervention Volunteers respond to pages from police, fire and emergency medical personnel to scenes, homes and hospitals. They assist victims of serious and fatal crashes, suicides, non-relationship assaults, drownings, missing persons, unattended and untimely deaths.

This is a child safety, parent education program focusing on the dangers of children and cars. The website has safety tips on preventing: backovers, frontovers, trunk entrapment, vehicles set in motion, heat related death from being in a car, injuries and deaths from power windows. The website has: links to state laws, statistics, Public Service Announcements (PSAs), and more. The organization offers bereavement support for people whose child has been injured or killed due to a nontraffic incident.

Alzheimer's support group is facilitated by a social worker who has worked for many years with Alzheimer's patients and their families.

For those who have experienced the death of someone who was cared for in our hospice program, we offer a 14-month follow-up Bereavement Program. This includes visits and phone contact, frequent mailings and educational material. Several virtual bereavement support groups are facilitated by the spiritual care team and are available to anyone in the community.

A variety of support groups meet at St. Joseph's. Examples of support groups are: caregivers, grief, substance abuse, parenting, Cancer, Alzheimer's, Brain Injury, and other condition specific. Home Health Aide and Homemaker Services. Part-time care for convalescents or handicapped people may include meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, personal, and health care.

NAMI NH provides education, support and public policy advocacy to improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness/serious emotional disorders. The support and programs offered are for individuals across their lifespan and include: education programs for families, individual and group support, information and referral, suicide prevention programs, support groups, anti-stigma speaker's bureau, professional development training and special mental health/mental illness awareness programs.

Provides a host of community health and wellness services and programs. Examples of some of the services are: flu shots, support groups, screenings, foot care, and more. VNA has programs and services for all ages with special wellness programs for older adults.

Compassionate Friends support group for the death of a child

Rockingham/Essex County Chapter of Bereaved Parents of the USA is a self-help support organization. They are dedicated to assisting families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to providing information and education to help others be supportive. The group consists of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings who have grieved the death of a child. They are not professional counselors.

The groups will help explore and understand better the grief process and how to celebrate and honor the loved ones we have lost. The groups meet weekly for 8 weeks and are held several times throughout the year. Stepping Stones through Grief A bereavement group for children and adolescents ages 5-18. The groups will help explore and understand better topics such as the meaning of death, the feelings generated around loss and how to celebrate and honor the loved ones we have lost. Parents are encouraged to stay for an informal support group. The groups meet weekly for 8 weeks. Stepping-Stones is held twice a year in the spring and fall.
