Our treatment community provides medication (Suboxone) and weekly meetings with other people recovering from opioid use both in-person and telehealth. Suboxone is prescribed in correct doses to curb pain and sickness from withdrawal, allowing for the best chance at recovery.

A Peer Support center providing a non-medical approach to mental health issues for adults eighteen (18) years and older. It offers: social/recreational activities, support/wellness groups, education, workshops, and more.

Services can vary per Recovery Community Center. All Recovery Community Centers offer Peer Recovery Coaching, Telephone Recovery Support, and mutual aid meetings/recovery support groups. How They Work: People entering recovery often need to significantly change their lives—from how they have fun to how they maintain recovery. Peer Recovery Support Services offers both the community and services people need to stay healthy. Supports include: Recovery coaching Telephone support services Groups Treatment service navigation and connection Education Recreational and wellness activities (e.g., yoga, art, music, etc.) While Harbor Care does not run these organizations, we continue to help them grow through technical assistance and capacity building, acting as a business incubator and passing through millions of dollars in state funding to the Recovery Community Centers that subcontract with us.

For family members, friends and others taking on the role of parenting a child under the age of 18, due to incarceration, death of a parent, substance misuse, illness, etc in order to keep the child out of foster care. Kinship navigators provide resource navigation, emotional support, education, and guidance, and offer information, referral, and follow-up services to promote independence and enhance the well-being of the families they serve. Navigators can help with matters of healthcare, education, childcare, financial assistance, and legal questions about protecting your rights and the child’s well-being.

DBSA is a peer-led depression and bipolar disorder support groups. Meetings are comprised of people living with mental illness who offer hope, respect, understanding and encouragement to each other. DBSA support groups offer confidentiality, safety and acceptance in a non-judmental and nurturing setting.

Providing respite care, education, resources, support and coaching for the new and seasoned caregiver. Services includes support groups, resources, Alzheimer's Caregiver Coach, and help reduce caregiver's stress, anxiety and guilt

Diabetes Self-Management Program is a comprehensive outpatient referral-based education program that empowers participants to take control and successfully manage their diabetes. Participation provides you with the opportunity to fully understand the rationale for early aggressive intervention to prevent complications from diabetes. Physicals offered. -Serves people of all ages. -Medical social workers help link patients to additional services and community help, including referrals to dentists accepting Medicaid. -Transportation to medical appointments can be arranged.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the 12 steps. It facilitates a process of healing from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Open Share groups meet every Tuesday from 6-8, and Step Studies will begin in September.

Free child care is offered during some parenting classes (advance signup needed). **Programs are offered at Families First in Portsmouth and at community locations in Somersworth, Exeter and Epping, as well as online.
