The Friends Youth Mentoring Program was established in 1975 and matches qualified, screened and trained mentors, ages 16 and up, with school-aged youth identified as in need or at-risk. This relationship helps mentees gain confidence and improve their behavior at home, in school, and in the community. The models may take place within the community setting, school hours, or after-school as part of programming or independently.

The In-Home Program assists with basic home care tasks like: meal planning and preparation, cooking, shopping, laundry, light housekeeping, mending the client's clothing, socialization/visitation, respite, and more Other services provided include going to the pharmacy, the post office, library, etc., on behalf of the client.

RSVP CHORE CORPS volunteers donate their services for minor repairs and chores such as yard work and small carpentry jobs (no ladders) as well as errands and shopping for people (no rides.) 3. RSVP BONE BUILDERS exercise classes are offered at community locations in Grafton and Sullivan Counties. 4. RSVP GOOD MORNING volunteers make a telephone reassurance calls to frail elders or those living alone to check up daily and address social isolation.

Assistance may include pick up and deliver groceries/prescriptions/mail, make and deliver meals, light yard work or snow removal, emergency firewood delivery, small outdoor repairs, friendly check in by phone, budgeting, connect to local resources for benefits, help find housing, food security.
