Military OneSource provides support from professionally trained consultants online or by phone on a broad range of issues for service members, their families and survivors. Eligible members can receive an unlimited number of specialty consultations on a variety of topics. Individual counseling is also available, call or visit the website to request an appointment.

Provides a host of community health and wellness services and programs. Examples of some of the services are: flu shots, support groups, screenings, foot care, and more. VNA has programs and services for all ages with special wellness programs for older adults.

1. Home Health Aide Services are delivered by certified nursing assistants who assist with daily living activities and personal care. Home Health Aides help patients get in and out of bed, bathe, dress and walk. Aides can provide more specialized care such as exercise routines, blood draws, and simple dressings. 2. Nurses provide skilled assessment, planning ,monitoring, treatment and evaluation in the home setting. 3. Rehabilitation therapy offers physical therapy and occupational therapy.

HCS offers several support groups including Caregiver support, Kinship family support and bereavement support.

Family Resource Centers (FRC)s provide support groups for caregivers and kids who have parents who are incarcerated. Children groups are organized by age so kids can talk freely amongst their peers and maybe for the first time realize they are not the only ones in a situation such as they are going through. Caregiver support groups and family counselling also available. Family Connections Center within three state prisons offer parenting education and support, creates/maintains healthy connections between parents & their kids via video visits, recording audiobooks, summer camp, family counseling and family reentry planning sessions with the caregivers of the children.

If the Veteran you care for was injured post-9/11, you may be eligible for even more services, including a stipend to help with expenses, training, and medical coverage if you aren’t already covered.
