The Family Center offers the very best in pediatric care for newborns and pediatric inpatients through a clinical collaboration with MassGeneral for Children, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric services. Pediatricians from MassGeneral for Children are available 24/7 at Exeter Hospital, and assess all of our newborn babies.

Pediatricians and nurse practitioners provide pediatric primary care. Services include: preventive health screenings, immunizations and annual camp and sports physicals, plus treatment of acute and chronic illnesses and common illnesses and infections. Consultation regarding behavioral and school issues and concerns is available. Nutrition counseling for children with eating disorders, obesity, and allergies is also offered.

Special Medical Services are part of the State of New Hampshire's Title V Programs for Children with Special Health Care Needs. Current programs include: Child Development Clinic; Community Based Care Coordination; Nutrition, Feeding and Swallowing; and Neuromotor Clinic. Case management is provided to children and their families who are enrolled.

The Early Supports & Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the intake, family support and the services provided by each agency. The Early Support team may include speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, educators and early childhood development specialists. Services can be provided in a variety of settings such as your own home, child’s day care, neighborhood playground or other community setting.
