There are always canes, crutches, walkers, bath chairs and assorted other equipment available. Larger and more costly items like hospital beds, motorized wheelchairs and lift chairs are usually available. If you have a need, call 603.362-9582 and inquire before buying any equipment or aids. Equipment can be picked up at the Atkinson Community Center or delivered to Atkinson resident.

Our harm reduction program provides weekly and by appointment delivery of safe injection supplies including syringes, tourniquets, cookers, Narcan, cotton pellets, sterile water, basic self care items, condoms, fentanyl test strips, alcohol wipes, bandaids, health screenings, wound care and educational materials.

Refurbished Equipment Marketplace (REM) sells medical equipment at a discount. Equipment can be bought online or by visiting the showroom. Delivery is available. Examples of equipment are: scooters, hospital beds, wheelchairs, patient lifts, walking aids, rolling shower chairs, bedside toilets, grab rails, and more. Provides medical supplies for those in need as donations are available Donations must be in clean, working condition Items accepted include: Wheelchairs, shower chairs and benches, rollators, transport chairs, commodes/toilet seat risers, adult diapers (unopened), antibacterial wipes(unopened), canes, grabbers, shoehorns, and sock aid tools. Items we do not accept: Needles, medications, diabetes and C-Pap supplies, beds, stairlifts.

Home health, hospice and palliative care provided through North Country Home Health and Hospice agency. Home health care is available to anyone in need of everyday assistance after an acute illness, injury or exacerbation of a chronic illness. Hospice care provides humane and compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.

Partners in Health's coordinators help guide, educate, and connect families to resources and financial assistance such as campership, respite, and health care needs.

This program provides needed equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, tilting shower chairs, patient lifts and portable ramps to those who do not have access to a source of funding for these items. The Chapter has even loaned computerized communication devices to those who otherwise may have remained silent. If you have durable medical equipment you are no longer using, please consider its potential value to another family living with ALS. Our Chapter staff is always available to discuss the unmet needs of our ALS families, and assist with arrangements to facilitate equipment donations.
