Nashua PAL provides free after school programming at the PAL Youth Safe Haven located at 52 Ash Street. The Center offers homework help, mentoring, various enrichment programs, and recreational activities. Nashua PAL also offers Juvenile Court Diversion along with a host of sports programs for youth, including football, cheerleading, basketball, street hockey, cross country, track and field, and boxing (adult and youth for boxing only).

Free one-on-one or small group tutorials are available for learners who need basic reading and math instruction. Please note that Keene Community Education offers HiSET testing (not GED testing.)

We offer a wide range of educational classes and groups for free, and all are welcome. For NH families, we provide Healthcare Coordination for families raising children with chronic healthcare conditions, and Community-Based Voluntary Services to preserve families at risk. We also offer diapers, and other products to meet basic needs.

This program is under the auspices of the Hopkinton Human Services Department. It is funded by donations. The Back to School Program provides clothes and school supplies to students in need in Hopkinton.

Backpacks and school supplies for any child in need that attends school in Portsmouth or SAU #50 available at the Portsmouth City Welfare office. Please call Ellen or Pam in advance.

The Granite YMCA offers a wide variety of programs that are designed to help empower youth to reach their full potential, improve the health and well-being of those in our communities, as well as inspire others to give back. Between all of our enrichments such as swim lessons and youth sports, to our wellness offerings including group exercise and swimming, there really is something for everyone at the Y! Our enrichments run throughout the year as “sessions” that are typically 6-7 weeks long with interim weeks in between. We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. Because of The Granite YMCA, more young people in communities across New Hampshire are taking a greater interest in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

Our children's program provides assistance with the day-to-day needs of children in the local school systems by working closely with the school nurses, guidance counselors, and daycare centers. The Children's Foundation receives requests and then provides the needed item - i.e. sneakers, diapers, daycare, book scholarships, school physicals, head lice shampoo, baseball gloves, and school field trips, all of which help a "child in need" to have a positive self image and achieve an appropriate and complete educational experience. Our volunteers are very capable of coordinating all the needs of our children. The Children's Foundation uses the school's free and reduced lunch program as a guideline for providing assistance, but special circumstances are always considered.

The Civics class prepares students for the US citizenship application, test and interview. The NorthStar program teaches students basic computer skills needed to use a computer and internet in daily life. The Nashua Adult Learning Center is an approved NorthStar location. The NH Work Ready Class helps prepare people for the work force, build confidence and skills.

We provide students, families, and schools with expertise and support on all parts of college and career planning. Learn about your options for making college more affordable. Funding options includes: Federal student aid, scholarships, grants, loans, work-study programs, and savings are some of the ways you might cover the cost.

The Federal Government's Student Financial Aid section provides: information about federal student aid programs, help with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and general information about federal student loans. This section of the Federal Department of Education also has: checklists, college preparation information, resources for military families, and more. Some of the information is available in Braille. Much of the information is available in Spanish

Provides services to children and teens with Autism and their families and caregivers. Service examples are: home based Applied Behavior Analysis, diagnosis, assessment, therapy, camps, school support, in home respite care, parent and caregiver trainings, and more

Residential education and job training program for at-risk and disadvantaged youth; Job search and placement with employers; Provides dorm living, meals, living allowance, clothing allowance, cash bonuses and readjustment allowance; Medical, dental, and vision care for those involved in the program. In addition to hands-on career training, we offer classes for HISET, English language program, tutoring and academic support, reading and math.

When families are struggling with their Federal Student Loan Payments, they can call the helpline and speak with an expert who will find programs to reduce their payment and/or seek loan forgiveness programs.

Pre-CHINS Diversion Program offers information and referral, as well as case management and advocacy to youth who are truant, or who chronically disobey the lawful commands of their parents or guardians, and their families who are at risk of filing a CHINS (Child in Need of Services) petition in District Court.
