The Bureau of Adult Education provides grants to school districts and private not-for-profit organizations for the purposes of offering educational services to adults who have not received a high school diploma or GED certificate, or do not read, write or speak English.

Free tutoring and small classes for adults over the age of 18 in reading, writing, math, English as a second language and HiSET/GED preparation. Basic computer and digital literacy are also offered. Location and time of tutoring is arranged to fit the schedules of student and volunteer tutor.

Adult basic education has open enrollment, individualized classes in basic skills, reading, math, and English. GED program has preparation and testing. Adult high school diploma program offers classes available evenings three times a year starting in September, January and March. English as a Second Language program offers open enrollment; classes available during the school year. Classes include work in speaking, listening, reading, writing and life-coping job-related skills.

Adult basic education and Hiset programs available. The purpose of Adult Basic Education programs is to help adults improve their academic and communication skills related to their work and family lives. Adult Basic Education is offered free of charge and covers a wide range of adult learner abilities. Classes are designed for adults to learn at their own pace, guided by classroom teachers who are trained to teach adults. Classes are offered all year long, program enrollment takes place at specified intervals. Distance Learning is also available for students who are unable to attend class in person.

GAP offers classes to fill many needs: diploma courses (in-person and online) for people looking to earn credits toward a high school diploma or brush up on key areas before heading into a college program; HiSET study classes for people interested in completing the High School Equivalency exam and enrichment courses for people looking to learn some new skills or explore an area of study.

Adult High School Diploma: The Adult High School Diploma Program offers classes to earn credits to complete adult high school requirements and earn a diploma. Students must be ages 16 and older and live or work in N.H to register for an Adult Diploma class. We offer three terms: fall, winter/spring, and summer. ABE/HiSET: This class is for students ages 18 and older who want a review of basic reading or math skills or who would like to prepare for the reading, writing, social studies, science and math portions of the High School Equivalency Exam (HiSET).
