ADVOCACY | NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS NH

NAMI NH advocates for improved access to services and social supports, early intervention and science-based practices that promote recovery, and build skills and resilience. Advocates are trained to be effective at communicating and working collaboratively with others to promote change in available programs, government policies and public perceptions of mental illness.

As a national technical assistance center, NCDB works with state deaf-blind projects and other partners to improve educational results and quality of life for children who are deaf-blind and their families. Services provided include: online training, webinars, publications, videos, and more. The website has an extensive resource section for families. The website also has an online, downloadble Transition Toolkit for deaf-blind teens ages 14-22 and their families. Much of the information is in Spanish too.
