AHEAD's certified homebuyer educators provide objective advice and unbiased recommendations. After attending a workshop, AHEAD provides private, one-on-one sessions to help you overcome financial obstacles that may be preventing you from reaching your goals.

HOMEteam is a nonprofit collaboration between NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire, CATCH Neighborhood Housing, and Lakes Region Community Developers; formed to deliver home ownership and financial wellness education, counseling, and assistance to individuals and families statewide. Our services include home buyer and financial literacy group education and landlord workshops, and one on-one counseling for those who complete a group seminar program.

Homeownership Programs: New Hampshire Housing offers a number of different homeownership programs to help make homeownership more affordable. While the specific programs may have different income limits, in general, we serve borrowers with incomes up to $167,800. We provide, low downpayment, cash for downpayment and closing costs and other targeted programs. Additional programs includes: Home First, which provides up to $15,000 in cash for downpayment and closing cost assistance and Purchase Rehab. Benefits of this program include a one-time closing on your mortgage and rehabilitation loan. Home Preferred Manufactured Housing ROCs provides homebuyers and current homeowners in qualified New Hampshire Resident-Owned Communities (ROCs) with affordable conventional financing options, including a low fixed rate, low downpayment, and low mortgage insurance options.

Homeward Bound is a community-based, comprehensive homebuyer education course offered at locations throughout the NH seacoast region. Seminar Agenda - Nine Steps to Home Ownership, Building Your Financial House, Understanding Your Credit Report. Understanding Mortgage Terms and Shopping for a Mortgage. Shopping for a Home and Home Inspections. Closing on Your Home and Maintaining Your Home & Finances. We also offer individual counseling for those who have attended the Homeward Bound Seminar but are seeking additional guidance.

HUD-certified counselors will guide people through the process of a variety of housing and rental counseling services. These services include, foreclosure prevention, housing resources, rental counseling, homebuyers counseling, reverse mortgages abd more.

Greenpath provides a variety of housing financial counseling including, Foreclosure prevention & Support, Homebuyer Education and Counseling, Reverse Mortgage Counseling, Renter Resources and Free Online Housing Classes. All types of housing counseling include the development of a budget and action plan, and referrals to appropriate resources. All housing counseling is free and confidential. Foreclosure counseling & Support: counselor analyzes budget and provides options available to save the home if appropriate, or to transition to more affordable housing. Counselors help consumers work with the mortgage lenders when needed. In rental delinquency situations, counselors provide options for bringing the rent current or transitioning to more affordable housing. Homebuyer education: counselor provides education on the entire home buying process. Consumer can receive a certificate of completion. Reverse mortgage counseling: counselor provides education on HECM/reverse mortgage loans and helps client analyze his/her options. Renter counseling: counselor analyzes budget and provides education on the rental process as well as provides resources. Housing classes: A variety of free classes available online including, Financial education, Foreclosure education, and Homebuyer education.

Financial Coaching: Free one-on-one coaching services and financial literacy workshops to help overcome obstacles and build assets. Budget, credit, pre-purchase and foreclosure counseling.

Hometeam Education and Resources provides New Hampshire residents with the information and tools they need to make good financial decisions related to purchasing, renting, and maintaining a home. Offers a series of workshops (many free), one-on-one counseling, and other resources

Twin Pines Housing provides down payment grants and closing cost assistance to help reduce the purchase price of a home or condo for qualifying households. In exchange for this grant, homebuyers agree to limit their profit should they sell the home, allowing the home to remain affordable to future buyers of modest means. Twin Pines Housing is a fair housing provider.
