The Emergency Winter Shelter is open 7 nights a week from December through March. The shelter is a “low barrier” shelter that serves adults, including those with active addictions and felony convictions, so that those in need can sleep inside during dangerously cold winter months.

New Generation Shelter is a home & supportive program for pregnant women and mothers of young children who are homeless. Besides shelter other services provided to residents include: parenting education, case management, life-skills coaching, and aftercare.
The shelter also has a transitional apartment for mothers and their children. Apartment is available once the mother has proven to have a stable job or school or both.
Day care is available for residents.
Program can also help the mothers with the necessities for the children such as diapers, wipes, clothing etc.
Residents receive 3 meals a day and snacks and those with an open case for food stamps will lose their benefits as a result.

This is a family shelter for Rockingham and Strafford Counties. Other regions are served on a space available basis. We can accomodate a maximum of 5 families or 14 people who can stay for a maximum of 6 months.
Our overnight shelter operates from 5:30 pm - 7:30 am and is located seperate from our day center. Our day center operates during daytime hours providing ongoing case management, support services, employment and housing assistance.
Please note that we are unable to accept anyone actively using substances, has a severe untreated mental illness or has an active domestic violence issue.

Stays for people from out of state will be limited.
Shelter residents are provided with: access to on-site medical care, and case management assistance to connect with housing, benefits, mental health and substance abuse treatment, job search help, family support services, employment, and more. Meals, laundry, showers and limited clothing assistance provided.
