The Barrington Community Food Pantry provides food and personal care items for families in need. Separate daytime hours are available for the elderly, and delivery is sometimes available for housebound persons only.

Volunteers assist older adults with various services including friendly visits, shopping assistance, meal prep and more.

Volunteers ready to help others flourish in the Kearsarge Region. Assistance may include pick up and deliver groceries/prescriptions/mail, make and deliver meals, light yard work or snow removal, emergency firewood delivery, small outdoor repairs, friendly check in by phone, budgeting, connect to local resources for benefits, food security.

RSVP finds rewarding volunteer opportunities for people age 55+ (primarily). Many, varied opportunities are available, and we will start new projects to suit your needs. Services by volunteers most frequently focus on health and wellness (including osteoporosis prevention, health information distribution, healthcare and senior living agencies, food security and independent living). We also place volunteers in schools to increase literacy for children and adults, and many other areas of community need. RSVP Caregivers provides transportation for medical or basic needs for frail elderly or disabled persons. Volunteers may also choose to provide visitation and companionship, telephone reassurance or assistance with small tasks.

This mobile food pantry program provides and delivers free groceries to eligible neighbors in need. From the taking and packing of individualized food orders to the personally delivered groceries, this program is totally volunteer driven.
