Easterseals NH offers a variety of workforce development services to assist people with disabilities and other special needs in identifying, obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment. Easterseals Workforce Development Services available to adolescents and adults representing a broad range disabilities, educational levels, and socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Transportation is available to medical or other appointments, shopping, errands, and the senior center. In addition to transportation provided by bus, volunteer drivers also are available to help older adults.Some senior centers are able to offer long-distance medical transportation to those who need to reach a specialist or a major medical center not located in their local community. JobLink Services are free and offered to help the public with job readiness and job search needs. The following services are currently active: Public computers are available for employment related activities. Scanning, Copying, Faxing and Notary Services are also offered. The following services are inactive at this time: Local job listings available in the JobLink Job Book (updated daily); on-going employment-related workshops; and resume-writing tutoring sessions offered on a regular basis.

In our after school building workshops, girls are taught how to safely use power tools, including cordless sanders and screw guns. The girls will be learning and practicing building skills in a safe and supportive environment. Using an instruction model based on asking questions (the Socratic method), we encourage girls to use problem-solving, critical thinking, and team-building skills in the workshop, with the end result of higher self-esteem and more confidence. Each class builder receives a bag of groceries with toiletry items, a pair of shoes and a new sweatshirt to celebrate completion of the woodworking projects that will be taken home with them.

The Family Mediator Certification Board was established to develop and maintain the ethical, professional and educational standards for the Certification of Family Mediators in New Hampshire to safeguard the states citizens. Peer Support Warmline is a free, confidential, non medical, nonjudgmental peer support service. Trained peer operators answer calls dealing with a wide range of issues including loneliness, sorting out difficult situations, sadness, uncomfortable or intense emotions, and social isolation.

The Brattleboro Retreat's Adolescent Inpatient Program offers crisis stabilization, specialized treatment, and aftercare planning for young people ages 12 to 18.

Individualized, community-based residential services provided to children and adults with disabilities. Provided through a variety of models that meet each person's unique needs, options include a home staffed by Easterseals employees who provide support/assistance; placement in the home of a family or couple responsible for providing support/assistance; or identification and supervision of a roommate to live with the individual to provide support/assistance.
