The Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program (BCCP) is a state-funded program that provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women between the ages of 18 and 65 years, who meet the eligibility requirements. The BCCP Program offers patients breast exams, mammograms for those women over 40 years of age, pelvic exams and pap tests. Early detection saves lives, and Lamprey Health Care is committed to enrolling women who are financially unable to access screenings. For the best protection, we urge our patients to combine an annual mammogram test with an annual breast exam and monthly self-exams.

We provide innovative pathways for employment and we help accelerate training for younger workers. If a participant's application is accepted, JAG-NH can pay up to $6,500 in training costs, $1,500 in supportive services, and a wage of up to $18 / hour to attend in-person hands-on-learning experiences / clinicals. Participants receive support through career development and exploration, are prepared in job readiness skills, and given 1:1 access to a Career Specialist for guidance / support. In New Hampshire, people with little or no income may be entitled to financial help from their town or city. New Hampshire law (RSA 165) requires each town and city to have a local welfare program to help people who are in need of financial assistance in meeting their basic living needs. The role of local town and city welfare is to relieve and maintain residents of their towns/cities whenever a person is unable to support themselves. Each New Hampshire town has a town or city welfare office, usually located within the Town Office. This is a separate resource from State Welfare/Dept. of Health and Human Services that provide long term assistance. Local town welfare programs are required to provide financial assistance for basic necessities such as food, shelter, rent, mortgage payments, heat, electricity, gas, water, necessary clothing, transportation, and prescriptions. Basic telephone service may be paid if necessary for health and safety reasons. Towns must also help with "maintenance" items such as paper products, household supplies, diapers, etc.. Towns should pay security deposits if necessary to obtain housing. Necessary medical costs should be paid if there is no other way to obtain essential medical services. The town may decide that a certain expense, such as a car payment, is not necessary. This may happen when a reasonable lower cost option is available, such as public transportation. The town should issue a written decision on your application within 3 to 5 days of your application. If there is an emergency, the town should make a decision immediately. The written decision should tell you how much and what kind of help the town will give. You can't be denied assistance just because: *You have lived in town only a short time *You have received help in the past, or have not repaid help you received in the past *The town says they don't have enough money in the budget *You receive other state or federal assistance (However if you receive APTD or OAA, speak with 603 Legal Aid for further information If you think that your request for help has been wrongly denied, call 603 Legal Aid for assistance. The UNH Cooperative Extension Nutrition Connections Program provides nutrition education and food resource management education to low-income adults and youth throughout the state. They use a variety of nutrition curricula based on the unique needs of clients. They work with clients on a one-to-one basis, small group basis and also via social marketing. The Cooking Basics program provides 6-8 free in-home sessions that teaches participants to hands on cooking and to create a recipie file of family favorites, demonstrates healthy choices, how to stretch the food dollars, staying active and more.

Peer Recovery Support Specialists often will assist individuals with removing barriers such as assisting with employment, housing, educational needs, connections to mental health resources when desired, connections to meetings through multiple pathways as well as recovery oriented social network events, activities and other wellness related opportunities. Peer Recovery Support Specialists also provide crisis response and resources for community members of all ages who may be struggling with substance misuse and are seeking treatment and recovery options.
