Free advice and counseling to Medicare eligible seniors in selecting the least expensive and most effective Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Insurance Plan. The Senior Initiative employs the Medicare computer system to analyze approximately 26 drug insurance plans for each individual, because the total annual cost of a plan varies significantly depending upon the variety of drugs purchased. A plan that is the least expensive for one individual may be the most expensive plan for another individual.

Independent and objective counseling for seniors enrolled in Medicare in the evaluation and selection of an appropriate Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Insurance Plan. With approximately 26 plans to choose from, evaluation is virtually impossible without the use of the Medicare computer system. Using the Medicare computer system on the internet, The Senior Initiative provides individualized analysis of every plan based on the specific list of prescription drugs taken by an individual. This individualized counseling and analysis can help a senior make an informed decision as to which Part D Prescription Drug Insurance plan to select. Depending upon the particular list of drugs prescribed for an individual, the selection of the most appropriate Part D plan can save hundreds of dollars annually. No appointment is necessary. All counseling done via telephone. Although there is no fee for this counseling, a donation is appreciated and needed. The Senior Initiative Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization.
