Wellness Education. Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that helps you, understand, and respond to someone who is experiencing a mental health or a substance use challenge. - Traumatic Event and Disaster Response: Trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, our staff is available to provide tools for managing posttraumatic stress and other symptoms that can occur after a critical incident. - I'm Listening Radio Show: From childhood trauma, to isolation and loneliness, to homelessness, to suicide, to addiction, host Chris and various Riverbend leaders discuss with the behavioral health issues affecting our communities and our day to day lives. - Change Direction: This is a statewide campaign of the national Campaign to Change Direction. The goal of this ongoing effort is simple. It is designed to make the five most common signs of mental illness as well-known as the signs of a heart attack or stroke. So, join us in normalizing the mental health conversation. Know the 5 Signs of emotional suffering: Agitation, Personality changes, Poor self-care, Withdrawal, Hopelessness.
