According to Senate Bill One, effective January 1, 1986, each town in the state of New Hampshire is required to provide financial assistance to residents who are not able to pay basic living expenses. Rental assistance Utilities, may refer to other resources when available Food, vouchers or banks Medical prescriptions Some emergency medical care Holiday assistance - Food for Seniors at Town Welfare, 642-9971 before noon Food for other clients and gifts for children contact Mary Hess, 603-642-8697-1 (eves) or leave msg. at thrift shop Monday and Wednesday 9 am - 12 noon Food pantry for town residents Thanksgiving & Christmas referrals Other assistance may be available
